RZ Charging times and rates

How long is it taking you to charge your car with a Level 2 charger? Anyone else taking forever? I've got a Chargepoint at home putting out 48 amps, and it took a whopping 14 hours to go from 20% to full. Is this normal? Anyone else experiencing slow charge times?

That's pretty much normal. Perhaps you set the charger to draw less power than it can. You may need to adjust the setting to use more power. Also, your car may have been set to charge at a specific time, so it may not have been charging continuously. You should also check to see if you have set a lower charging current. Try setting it to Max.

With my Level 2 charger at 40 amps, it takes about 10 hours to go from 20% to 100% on my RZ. Charging times can vary based on the car's onboard charger and battery size. Maybe check if the charging speed is throttled during the session?

At my office, I plug into a Level 2 charger, but man, it takes almost six hours just to juice up from 50% to full.

My son’s RZ already has a built-in charger that can handle up to 6.6kW of power. He can upgrade to a more powerful 11kW charger if he wants to charge faster.

However, even if he plugs it into a super-fast charger, the car will only charge as quickly as its built-in charger allows. He can easily charge his RZ at home using a regular 50-amp outlet in our garage.

He doesn't need to buy a fancy separate charger unless he wants to monitor the charging progress on his phone's Wi-Fi.

Charging my EV at my apartment’s Level 2 station took about 7.5 hours to go from 23% to 90%. Not exactly lightning speed, but hey, it’s fully juiced by morning, so no complaints.
