Hello folks, I’m new to EV and I’m on a mission to crack the code on charging my RZ 450e to get the most bang for my battery buck. I’ve been messing around with different charging levels, but honestly, I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Got any secret hacks or hot tips to make sure I’m juicing this thing up like a champ?

Read the owners manual.

It is absolutely OK to charge to 100% on level 1 and 2. For DC charging, you probably want to limit to 80%.

For optimal battery health, charge your RZ to 80-90% for daily use and avoid frequent fast charging unless necessary. Use Level 2 home charging overnight and take advantage of preconditioning in colder weather for efficiency. You should be good

And whenever you charge it to 100%, don't leave it there. Start driving it.

From what I've read, the best thing for your battery is to avoid constant supercharging and only charge to what you actually need for the day.

I stick to my Level 2 charger at home. It's a 240V setup. No need to crank it up to 32 amps unless I need a quick top-off. Even at 12 amps, it takes about 12 hours to charge from 40% to 80% overnight, which is perfect for me.

Charge during off-peak hours, if you can! It'll save you some cash and ease up on the grid. Also, try not to top it off at 100% every time. I’ve found that my battery stays happier when I keep it between 20% and 80%.
