Lexus RZ rear window exploded

My RZ's rear window just spontaneously exploded while I was driving! No impact, just a loud boom and shattered glass everywhere. I'm in shock and Lexus is giving me the runaround. They're acting like this has never happened before, but I've found tons of reports online about similar issues with Lexus and other car models. I'm terrified to drive my car again. Anyone with teh same experience? Any advice on how to handle this with Lexus?
 
I'm glad no one got injured. I think it's a factory defect. Sometimes a car's back window breaks. This can happen if the glass has a weak spot or was installed incorrectly.

This happened on my friend's Altima too, despite the fact that it was nearly new, the rear glass suddenly shattered.

Whoa, that’s terrifying! Has Lexus said anything yet? Did they own up to it or offer a solution?
 
Your RZ's exploding rear window is a serious safety hazard. Lexus's denial is unacceptable. Document everything and demand a full investigation. Escalate to corporate and consider legal action.
 
It's important that you document all of the incident including photographs, videos, any police reports and the online reports you've discovered. Insist that Lexus address this under warranty, and if they refuse to cooperate consider seeking legal counsel. This is a significant safety risk and you should not be forced to drive a vehicle that causes you fear. This situation demands a serious and immediate response from Lexus.
