Hey folks,

Got my 2023 RZ450e back from an EV repair less than a month ago, and at first, it showed 380km on a full charge. Now it's down to 295km. Is this how EVs roll, or should I be worrid about something still being off?

Any advice would be appreshiated! Thanks!

A drop from 380km to 295km in under a month seems pretty steep even with typical EV range fluctuations. Has your driving style changed? Lots of highway driving or aggressive acceleration can reduce range. Did you do any software updates? Sometimes an update can adjust range estimates based on more real-world data. Have you checked tire pressure? Low pressure = more rolling resistance = lower efficiency. If everything checks out and it keeps dropping, I’d go back to the dealer, just to make sure the repair didn’t cause any battery management issues.

Also, let's not forget about the temperature. That's one factor whose impact is significant.

That's a really noticeable range reduction in just a month especially after repairs. While some variation is expected 85km is a big difference. It suggests a potential ongoing problem with the battery or charging system. It could be an incomplete repair or a software issue. I'd monitor your driving habits and if the range continues to drop demand the dealer run another diagnostic check.

You should immediately return to the dealer and insist on a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of both the battery and charging systems. This level of range loss is not attributable to normal usage and warrants serious investigation. Do not accept any dismissive explanations and demand a thorough resolution.

I’d also check if theres any background apps or features draining the battery more than usual, like a constantly running climate system or other connected services. Sometimes they’ll stay active even when you're not using them, which can eat up range. Keep an eye on it and don't hesitate to take it back to the dealer if it continues.

EVs can show some fluctuation in range, esp after repairs, but if it's not bouncing back, it might be worth checking with the dealer. could be something still off with the battery or calibration. Keep us posted!
