The stock navigation systems in many cars are pretty outdated and lackluster. Android Auto or Apple CarPlay is definitely the way to go for a more modern and feature-rich navigation experience. It's a shame that some car manufacturers still rely on these built-in systems.

Nothing we can do about it right now. Dealership said there's no option to change the default and once you go into drive, you can activate the regen brake with paddle shifter. That's the only workaround available.

That’s disappointing, though Lexus isn't exactly known for being ahead of the curve with infotainment. Have you considered reaching out to Lexus themselves rather than the dealer? There might be an update in the works that could resolve some of these issues.

I’ve switched to the high regen setting now. It’s a bit of an adjustment, but it helps boost your mpg/kWh by a tenth or two in city driving.

I'm interested to hear your findings as well! The power liftgate seems like a worthwhile upgrade, especially for the adjustable height feature. It's a shame the manual version lacks that flexibility. It's interesting to see RZ parts popping up on eBay. Might be worth keeping an eye on for...
