Hello all,

In past posts, a few people mentioned that they wished the dash would show the time to charge to 80 percent while on fast chargers. Not sure if this was before recent updates but just wanted to post a picture of how it does show that when plugged into a fast charger.

Next I wanted to post how with an OBD-2 dongle (I used the OBD-link CX with my Iphone), and connecting it to the Car Scanner App for IOS and now available on CarPlay, I was able to display battery and charging info on my infotainment system such as the State of Charge AND the charging speed (~46 kW) while connected to the fast charger. There’s plenty more info available on the Car Scanner app which you can see on the left side of the dashboard, the blue icon.

Just wanted to share!

Thanks for sharing! It's awesome that the Lexus RZ now shows charging times. Super helpful for planning trips. That OBD-2 setup with Car Scanner is a game-changer! It's so much easier to see how the car is charging. Love that it's CarPlay compatible too.

I really appreciate it! It's great that the Lexus RZ now tells you the estimated charging time, definitely simplifies planning trips. That OBD-2 setup with Car Scanner is a total upgrade too! It makes it super easy to track the car's charging progress in real-time, giving you much more control. This kind of tech is such a game-changer for both daily use and longer journeys.

Thanks! Became interested in this setup when watching Bjorn’s videos on YouTube where he would use the CarScanner app to pull all sorts of metrics up when charging or driving. Nuts that on the app, some of the setups are named after him!

Super easy to set up too. Just connect the Bluetooth dongle to the OBD port underneath the dash and open the Car Scanner app on your phone or on the infotainment CarPlay display and select connect after which it connects to the dongle, then the car.
