So the Lexus RZ is rolling out with a smaller 71.4 kWh battery, while the Ariya’s packing an 87 kWh one. Yeah, that means the RZ might not go as far on a charge. But hey, a smaller battery could mean the RZ is lighter and might handle a bit better. Both rides have their own AWD setups, so it’ll be cool to see how they stack up against each other. Who’s pumped to see these two battle it out?

Interesting comparison! It seems you are having a great time, haha! I would go more for the performance metrics, as well as technology and features. But who knows? Curious about the verdict.

Until there's an actual breakthrough with battery chemistry, more battery capacity means more weight. More weight means more power devoted to moving the weight.

The single motor Ariyas are 4700 lbs and do 0-60 in 7.5s. The dual motor Ariyas weigh nearly 5,100 lbs and do 0-60 in 5.0s--this is with the benefit of dual motors delivering 389hp and 442 ft-lbs. Range on the dual motor is 267 miles.

Meanwhile, the RZ450e weighs 4,600 lbs, delivers 308hp and 320 ft-lbs, and does 0-60 in 4.6s. Range on the RZ450e with 18" wheels is 260 miles.

This is before you even get into build quality, available features/comforts, make reputation, or looks.

I will wait to see real-world reviews and performance tests to get a better sense of how they stack. Who knows? After all, it all comes down to personal preference in style and comfort.
