Thinking about getting an RZ and I’m curious if anyone's run into issues with the 12V battery. I’ve heard some horror stories about other EVs, so I want to be on the lookout for any potential headaches. Also, does the RZ come with a mechanical key in case the 12V battery decides to take a nap? Any advice or juicy stories you’ve got would totally help me out in making this decision!

I've had my RZ for almost a year now and it's been smooth sailing so far. Aside from the pretty terrible range, the RZ is an awesome ride.

The auxiliary battery management system in the Solterra, bZ4X, and RZ appears to be malfunctioning. Despite the minimal power draw from devices such as my BM2 battery monitor, the auxiliary battery consistently maintains a charge of 50-60%. This indicates that the system is not effectively managing the battery.

Even when charging the car with a Level 2 charger, the auxiliary battery only reaches 70% before gradually declining. This suggests a problem with the charging algorithm or the battery itself.

It is concerning that such a basic system appears to be malfunctioning, particularly in a modern vehicle.
