I recently purchased a 2024 RZ 300e with 18 inch wheels.
Thus far, I’ve been loving it and have been impressed with the range I’ve seen while driving it. I’ll share some of the range results I’ve seen recently. One round trip was 82 miles, mostly highway driving. Started with 95 percent range and after the trip, still had 67 percent range. So 82 miles only took off 28 percent range which would equate to about 292 miles of range on a full charge. Including driving from earlier in the day which was a mix of local and highway driving, I drove a total of 100 miles using 33 percent range, which would equate to about 303 miles of range on a full charge. Also, an earlier longer trip of 126 miles one way, mostly highway driving, used up 43 percent range which would equate to about 293 miles on a full charge.
There are some caveats. I drove at the speed limit of 65 mph for the most part and using the adaptive cruise control the entire time. There were of course some times I’d be between 55 to 60 mph depending on the flow of traffic and only rarely was there stop and go traffic but for the most part, was at 65 mph. I drove conservatively, avoiding mashing on the accelerator outside of the few instances I had to pass someone. I did NOT need to use AC for the most part outside of just a few times and for very short periods of time. Regen was set to the lowest degree given it was mostly highway driving. Weather conditions were good, anywhere between 55 to 75 degrees F, only once experiencing light rain on the 126 mile trip.
Overall, driving in this conservative fashion, whether local or highway, I’ve been able to achieve at least the range stated and typically better. My efficiency has consistently been 4.1 to 4.2 miles/kwh. Range reported after a full charge thus far has been in the low 250 mile range but like mentioned, driving the way I mentioned, I usually do better than the range.
